Baby Bath Essentials and Care Kits: A Practical Buying List
For baby bath shopping, start by comparing the basin, towel and cloths you need, then add grooming items separately. Smalt Baby Shop lists baby basins from KSh500, towels at KSh500 and wash cloths at KSh300. Check the dimensions and contents of the actual products before ordering.
What does Smalt’s bath and care list include?
| Item | Listed price |
|---|---|
| Small baby basin | KSh500 |
| Big baby basin | KSh700 |
| Bucket | KSh400 |
| Towel | KSh500 |
| Wash cloths | KSh300 |
| Small care kit | KSh750 |
| Big care kit | KSh1,200 |
We also list basins at KSh100. Ask about their size and intended use before comparing them with the baby basins above. For other care kits, contact us for a price.
How should you choose a basin?
Ask for measurements and a photo showing the actual shape. Consider where it will be used, emptied and stored. Confirm the product’s intended use and follow its instructions. Small and big are catalogue labels, not standard measurements shared by every supplier.
Do not assume a basin includes a stand, support insert, drain or temperature indicator unless those features are confirmed.
How do towels and wash cloths differ?
They are separate items in Smalt’s list. Ask about dimensions, fabric and quantity for each one. Check the care labels before washing, and choose the amount that fits your routine rather than assuming a pack size from the photograph.
If you already have cloths in a receiving set, compare their intended use before buying more. Similar looking cloths may have different sizes or care requirements.
What is inside a baby care kit?
Ask the shop to show the open kit and list its contents. The words small and big do not establish which tools are included. Check instructions for each item and avoid buying on piece count alone.
For a gift, it can help to ask the parent whether they already own a kit. A towel or a few missing supplies may be more useful than duplicating tools.
