Buying a Baby Potty in Nanyuki: Price and Features to Check
Smalt Baby Shop lists a baby potty at KSh3,000. Before buying, ask to see the current model, its dimensions and cleaning instructions. A clear picture of the exact product is more useful than assuming it has the same features as a potty shown elsewhere online.
What should you check before choosing a potty?
Look at the seat shape, overall dimensions and how the product rests on the floor. Ask about manufacturer suitability guidance and any assembly instructions. Check whether the size will work in the space where you plan to keep it.
Ask whether the available potty has the features you need, such as a removable bowl or a particular seat shape. We can confirm the model before you order.
What does the listed price include?
| Item | Listed price | Details to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Baby potty | KSh3,000 | Model, dimensions, included parts and cleaning instructions |
| Wet wipes | KSh170 | Pack details and intended use |
Wet wipes are a separate product. Their listing does not mean they are included with the potty or suitable for cleaning every surface. Follow the instructions for each product.
How easy is it to clean and store?
Ask the shop to show how the potty is emptied and which parts separate, if any. Read the cleaning instructions and check whether the product needs assembly after cleaning. Think about storage and access before choosing a bulky design.
If more than one caregiver will use it with your child, make sure everyone can follow the same instructions. Keep any supplied booklet or label for reference.
Does buying a potty tell you when training should start?
No. This is a product buying guide, not an assessment of your child’s development. A potty purchase should not create pressure to meet a fixed deadline. Discuss individual concerns with a qualified health professional rather than relying on a product description or a retailer’s age claim.
